How do I get a student loan to attend Le Cordon Bleu cooking school in Paris?

I want to attend Le Cordon Bleu cooking school, which offers a 1 year degree program in Paris. The tuition for 1 year is roughly $30,000USD. I'd like to borrow about $40,000 to cover my tuition and living expenses for the year. I haven't used student loans yet, so I'm wondering how they work. Can I borrow $40,000 at one time? It seems like a lot. Thanks!

Most foreign schools dont accept federal student aid. And the amount you are looking for is really high, the most you can borrow from Federal Aid in one year is 3-7,000 based on your dependency status.

You may want to look into private grants/scholarships… and get a lot of co-signers ready.
